The Croudace "Churchfields" development (estate surrounding Nature Reserve) is to be determined by an unelected body appointed by the government to to push through development against local opposition called the West Northamptonshire Development Corporation (WNDC)
 


The Danetree Consortium "Danetree Village" was also to be determined by the WNDC but, probably because the development extended beyond the limits of WNDC authority, the developers have Appealed to the national Planning Inspectorate. Normally an independent inspector would decide on the appeal. However just to make sure that the Inspector doesnt decide against the developers and interfere with the government's house building ambitions, the government have changed the rules in this case so The Secretary of State will make the final decision. Not too difficult to guess the outcome of that process?

The "Danetree Village" estate threatens to surround the ancient monument of Borough Hill and ruin the best views in Northamptonshire with over 5000 dwellings factories and shops.
The Croudace "Churchfields" housing estate consists of 4000 dwellings including 4 storey buildings next to an important Nature Reserve.
Both developments will concrete over unspoilt countryside and prime farmland and deprive future generations of irreplaceable views.
